What did I do

I was online today reading thru the forum posts and as usual I hit the alt and left arrow to back up a page. Or so I thought. My whole screen turned 90 degrees to the left and I don't know how to change it back. I have never seen this before or know that it was even possible to do.Any help would be appreciated.
