What do you guys think about the Pro-83?

I was looking at buying the pro-83 for it's signal stalking capability.Also it look's like a great little handheld to carry anywhere you go to monitor conventional freq's like Police,Fire..etcI also own a pro-96 so what do you guys think about this little 83?

Personally I like it. It is my primary carry scanner. It take it to work at the fire station and use it on my bedside table some times at home. A set of rechargable batteries will last me 12+ hours on a moderatly used TRS.
As for Signal stalker, It ain't got it. Never had it and never will. Other wise it's a good trunktracker and I recommend it.
I'm not familiar with the Pro-03 so I can't give any advice regarding it.
And I don't own either the Pro-96 or the Pro-83 so I can't tell you much about them either.

Amen. The -93 is an AWESOME trunktracker. It's also my primary scanner! . I keep it on for about 7-9 hours a day, and It is about 5 years old now. It has served me well. No problems whatsoever.

No actually the original poster asked about the Pro-83 as was plainly stated in his post. You took a typo in the subject line as license to post an opinon on radio which was not being asked about.
