does it mean that you have to change frequencies? example: 155.300 to 155.3125, correct? ive heard narrowbanding also and not having ot change frequencies? please explain this to me thanks.
Narrowbanding means changing the bandwidth of the trasmitted signal and receiver filters, not the frequency. For more information see Narrowbanding - The RadioReference Wiki

Will narrowbanding affect scanner users? Like South Dakota system you have to use the custom tables. Not sure if that is related but would I have to reprogram some of my objects?

REbanding in a trunked system will require you to have special tables. Narrowbanding does not affect conventional frequencies by themselves as far as scanning goes, I believe.
