BCD325P2/BCD996P2: What does the "DMR Threshold" setting do?

Wondering if "fiddling" with this setting might improve my DMR reception. I have good signal strength, but seem to sometimes miss parts of conversations. I can't find any description of what this setting does. Its currently at Auto (default)

BCD325P2/BCD996P2: - DMR Threshold? What is good setting?

What is a baseline setting for the DMR threshold in my BCD996P2. It has DMR upgrade in it. I noticed in settings there is a new setting called "DMR Threshold". My P25 threshold is set to "8". The DMR one set to "auto".
