• To anyone looking to acquire commercial radio programming software:

Please do not make requests for copies of radio programming software which is sold (or was sold) by the manufacturer for any monetary value. All requests will be deleted and a forum infraction issued. Making a request such as this is attempting to engage in software piracy and this forum cannot be involved or associated with this activity. The same goes for any private transaction via Private Message. Even if you attempt to engage in this activity in PM's we will still enforce the forum rules. Your PM's are not private and the administration has the right to read them if there's a hint to criminal activity.

If you are having trouble legally obtaining software please state so. We do not want any hurt feelings when your vague post is mistaken for a free request. It is YOUR responsibility to properly word your request.

To obtain Motorola software see the Sticky in the Motorola forum.

The various other vendors often permit their dealers to sell the software online (i.e., Kenwood). Please use Google or some other search engine to find a dealer that sells the software. Typically each series or individual radio requires its own software package. Often the Kenwood software is less than $100 so don't be a cheapskate; just purchase it.

For M/A Com/Harris/GE, etc: there are two software packages that program all current and past radios. One package is for conventional programming and the other for trunked programming. The trunked package is in upwards of $2,500. The conventional package is more reasonable though is still several hundred dollars. The benefit is you do not need multiple versions for each radio (unlike Motorola).

This is a large and very visible forum. We cannot jeopardize the ability to provide the RadioReference services by allowing this activity to occur. Please respect this.

You're confusing range and signal strength.

Of course, radio and audio waves are different parts of the spectrum. I can still hear those voices, but those closer have a stronger "signal", so they are louder to me. That's why I mentioned intelligibility.

Now, I'm off to see about buying more radio waves before they get used up today.
If ever do sound and radio calculations they are very close you even see db for both. In so books they will sound as way for you understand radio wave since can not see or hear radio waves.

Knowledge is power.

Radio wave propagation
This will explain the way radio waves bounce off from the ionosphere, as in ionized. (Not Ionic sphere. Ionic is a cool electric vehicle made by Hyundai.) ;)

RF effects in the real world
It's not about "using up" radio waves. It's about waveforms cancelling each other out depending on location and how many waveforms are competing with each other in a given frequency range.
This is why I'm not an advocate of massive amplified watts. It's just shouting. To follow the sound analogy, imagine a room full of people all talking and they can't hear each other so everyone just talks louder but they still can't hear each other so they talk even louder... ad nauseum.

Also, this is not the first AI bot I've encountered. ;)

The best way unless you want a big class on all the things that radio waves bons off and cancele it self on.

2. Time day night seems to best a hot day is reduce
When the sun illuminates the earth, the various ionospheric propagation "layers" start bouncing signals around. If you listen to the CB band with a tunable (VFO) receiver (Not channelized) you will hear the noise floor rise as you pass over the channel centers. In the noise/chatter you might hear distant voices, but it is often just unintelligible noise from CB radios used everywhere. At night the local and some more distant signals come in with more clarity.

I when to one top 10 high schools in California.
High IQ with grades in most classes A&Bs like US Government A , now we get spelling OK not need for engineering design most three 3 letters.

Things did not help two concussion and 106 chemotherapy treatments.

The upside I can easly read manuals not written by a English person.
