What frequncies do taxis broadcast on?

taxis as in livery taxis?
I would guess a business band in which they applied for their license

they could be in 152.000 / 157.000 452.000 or even nextels where in MI are you i have a list of taxi freqs maybe i can help

I can hear a few in the 152MHz area (152-153MHz) . They also make extensive use of LTR's around me.

Taxi Company Near me is operating on a LTR system and I think a couple of there cabs have MOTOTURBO.

IIRC and that is a big IF!

The original taxi VHF radios were setup semi-duplex. The base transmitted in the 152 mhz range and the mobiles transmitted in the 157 mhz range. The cars could only hear the base freq and the base could only hear the car freqs. It kept the drivers from chatting amoung themselves.
