Do any models support P-25 communications?

If memory serves, they made a P25 board that went into the 8600 - but it was, by all accounts, not a simple procedure to install. I think Scott (Scancapecod) has or had one, and related his woes on this procedure...

I'm pretty sure that AOR never made a scanner, nor anything for trunktracking. Most all of their wideband equipment should, I think, be simply considered receivers that scan. That being said, their AOR7030 (and the much lesser known AOR3030) HF receivers are all very good. I had a AOR1000 once for awhile, which I used with a K40 CB antenna (feeding only the center conductor, and pushing that through a homemade attenuator) so I could listen to the big boys (BBC, Moscow, ect.) while on long drives. If I recall, somewhere in my junk pile I even built a 12vdc power converter for it.

I got the AOR-3000/3000A/8200MK3 and they are excellent receivers and a lot of goverment & defence departments use the AOR radios worlwide.

I own a AR8600 with the P25 board installed. The audio is fine, my only issue is there is no indication on the radio that you are decoding digital audio.

I believe my model of the AOR- AR 1000 went out of production in 1994 but I purchased it years before that. Frequency coverage is: 8-600MHz and 805-1300 MHz. It is working fine but I was either told or read that if I had to send my scanner in for repairs, it would be repaired but modified so that it would no longer be able to pick up certain frequencies. Any word on that and if so, what frquencies would be deleted?
