What has happened to Tooele

I can't get anything from Tooele anymore have they changed something?? Does the Rebanding affect them ?
I have a Pro 95 with Freq. 866.9000 and 868.5500
Please help

Yes the rebanding affected us here in Tooele and the Pro 95 which I had does not reband. I went and bought a PSR 500 so I have not missed anything.

Do you like it ? Why not another Radioshack brand like the 162?

I went with that one cause I like to have best of the best and I feel that one was. It has not let me down one bit. I was thinking about sticking with the radioshack brands but I would have went with the Pro 96 or Pro 2096. I will be more and happy to give you any information you need or jsut keep on ths sight everyone is really good and knowledgeable at what they do with there scanning hobby.

One of the things I like about the 500 is that you can control it with software. From what I've read, with the Radio Shack models you can only upload or download the memory, not control. I have the 500 and Win500. With it I set up the scanner to the computer, and I can control the scanner, record the hits on each "channel", and record the audio with TG/freq tags. I really like it.

You must not do a lot of scanning because your area was rebanded some time ago. We keep real close tabs on the rebanding process. Since all areas will be rebanded soon, most of us purchased new scanners with the most popular being the GRE PSR-500 or PSR-600. One of the things that sold me was the fact that the people at GRE are constantly monitoring us, their customers, for what we want and they have responded with updates to their firmware which we can download from their site. gldavis, has also told you about some other features that made the GREs popular with many of us. The GRE also decodes digital very nicely.

As long as we have your attention, could we get you return to your User CP (left side of the second blue bar from the top of any page) and fill in your location (city & state) so it will automatically show in all your posts? We have so many members that we cannot remember where each one is located and it is just a small courtesy to the rest of us. You will notice that all of us have our locations showing.

You can set a time limit on the length of the recording. That way you do not use up all your drive space. I am sitting with the radio and computer while recording. I also used the software to decide which Talk Groups/Freqs to record. Being able to replay the audio helps in figuring out who the unknowns are.
