Hello, I got a question might be a little weird but,

If all you had, or(had another scanner) was a 10ch analog Scanner, what would be the top 10 Freqs/agencies you would would program into the scanner, here around the Okc area?

Thanks!

Well not being in OKC, I have a 10 channel that I used for the local old lowbands. Some are still being used by their agency as car to car chit chat among other things. Also good for Air traffic control when things happen at the local Airport.

4. Will Rogers (OCPD)

6. OCSO 1
7. OCSO East
8. MWC PD 1
9. MWC EMS
10. Del City PD

Living in Bethany...

1. Bethany PD
2. Bethany FD
3. Warr Acres PD
4. Warr Acres FD

Those are in fact all I have in a PRO-2052 I picked up used. Sits off to the side, always on.

Beyond that, maybe...

5. OCSO
6. OCPD Hefner
7. OCPD Santa Fe
8. Yukon PD
9. Yukon FD
10. My repeater?!

Kinda reaching with the last three. OCSO and Hefner often show up in Bethany for bigger fun (like last night's manhunt) and I work and have friends living southside. Most everything else I listen to regularly is on the DPS system now...

I suppose I could put secondary frequencies in there, Bethany has one as does OCSO.

I would sell it on ebay and get a real scanner. OKC is way to big to only monitor 10 channels.

Ten frequencies? That's pure luxury. I have an old Regency MR-10 that manually tunes with a knob like the old in-dash car radios (minus the preset punch buttons). I use it to listen to Tulsa CoSO vhf chatter. Just for the fun of it.

:D

That is what I started out with. Well not that exact radio but one just like it. Bought it at the Sears store in Guthrie!

Also bought the very first national edition of Gene Hughes "Police Call" 1974....still have 'em both.
