yes.. are these DISHNETWORK? satellites on the side of this tower? some are pointed almost down at the ground.. some pointed SE, some pointed S or SW.. all told about 4 of them.. any thoughts as to what these are being used for?

If you don't already know the latitude/longitude coordinates of the tower
you can find it on a mapping site like topozone.com then look up the lat/lon
on the FCC database and see what transmitters are licensed there.

They could be for a lot of things. If they are pointed up at satellites they
could be used for one of the nationwide paging services.
If they are pointed at the horizon they could be point to point links for
for whatever base stations, cell sites, etc. are on the tower.

The picture isn't good enough for me to see exactly what kind of dishes they
are.

LTR PASSPORT

The site has on it fixed point microwave links for a local electric co-op, as well as LTR passport. the dishes look just like a dishnetwork, dish 500 dish.

In the Joplin MO area there is a wireless internet provider called fast freedom that uses identical dishes like these on customers houses, etc. They usually always point down like shown more than up like a dish or direct tv dish. Where is this tower at?

it is in

it is in trenton mo, i've also found out these dishes are being used to link remote wireless internet tower sites back to the main office.
