Local (Fresno) PD occasionally refers to "Two Robert" calls. Doesn't seem to be used for a single type of crime though -- have heard it in referring to fights, (car theft ... I think), & a couple others.
Have looked around to see what all the general types of calls a 2R designation covers, but haven't found anything.

I've' heard officers say in effect, they were through with the two robert call, and ask for a computer number (I want to say "computer disposition" but not sure). I believe Reserve & Volunteers use "Victor" (2V21 or similar).

if you could, record a call where they use it...maybe we could figure it out if in context....it might be hard to get the whole call from dispatch to disposition, but it would help...

hey what i could think of is either 2robert meaning 2respond as the first letter means something but you need to listen a lot more because it could be almost anything and its easyer to listen a lot more it could mean a certain beat a certain unit and i could go on and on but was it just said 1 time and never again? but what i really think is is a type of unit thats how it is here in sacramento

The reference to a "Two Robert" call is used commonly on the system, another common one is a "One Nora" call ("Show me out on that One Nora").

Heard a new mystery call reference (by Sheriiff this time): A Officer advising he was enroute to a "Two Paul Five".

These really sound like call signs. Hard to imagine them being anything else. The 1N, etc. also sound like clearing codes. That's how Sac PD does it, but obviously, everybody is different (REALLY wish POST would get together and issue a standardized 9, 10, and 11 codes for all agencies in the State to use). Just a thought. Wish I could pick them up up here. Good luck.

Just a thought. How do the agencies break up their beats? Any possibility they're referring to a sector or district?

Another thought (sorry, it's late)...what if they refer to priorities (1, 2, 3) and/or the fact that it's a report vs. in progress? 2Robert could be a priority 2, report call?

re: 2 Robert calls

from what I'm able to make out by listening to Fresno PD, a 2R is either a warrent search or parolee pick-up. A few times the dispatch channel for an area (example Ch 2 Central area) would go on emergency traffic for a 2R. Hope this helps.

Heard officer's refer in effect to Being out on a two robert to get the papers.
City PD also refers to cars as "Xray Units (4Xray)"; 'K' units refer to Canines, but hear references to 'Frank', 'George', 'Ida', 'Sam', 'Union' and several others.

Fresno PD uses their own disposition and call type codes. Unique from any other agency in the valley. Rather than using clear text, they use a code sheet for their call types. Everything else is clear text. To fully understand what they are talking about, you need to get your hands on one of their disposition code sheets.
