I've seen this on the PFD CAD page. What kind of unit is it?
They are Safety Officers. You will often hear "Car 957 North" and "Car 957 South" dispatched to hazmat calls.
I've been tracking mountain rescues for about a year now. So far this year they've responded to 29 rescues (about 3 1/2 per week) that I know of. I just listen to the scanner and check the dispatch page, so I'm sure there are MANY more that I'm NOT aware of. I wouldn't be surprise if the real number was closer to 60. There have been 7 this week that I know of.Been home in bed for the last 3 days thanks to a back sprain. I've been listening to PFD the whole time - they have been EXTREMELY busy with mountain rescues lately.
I wonder if they (C957N or C957S) would be willing to let me do video camera ride-a-longs.![]()
