DSD+ Fast Lane is showing "DMR (MOT)" in the Event Log footer. Anyone know what this means?

I saw this DMR (MOT) as well and wondered the same. But if its Trunk Mobile, Motorola is either Cap+ or Con+. Does Motorola have something different than these two for Tier 3 systems? Maybe something prior to Con+?

Thank you sir, but this doesn't necessarily answer the question. There are voice transmissions on the DMR (Mot) system as well, not just radio checks. Here is a snip from the decode logging:

Post #3 in that thread is about the closest to an explanation. So is Capacity Max the same thing as Tier III, or is it Motorola's proprietary ver$ion of Tier III? And therefore does "DMR (MOT)" mean Capacity Max?

The poster said "obviously", but I don't see how this is obvious without asking.

But usually, DSD+ will display "DMR", "Cap+", or "Con+". So is "DMR (MOT)" something different?

Usually, when that happens (which I see/hear all the time), DSD+ just shows "DMR".

Hello,

DSD+ is indicating DMR (MOT) because the MFID in some of the headers is 16 (Motorola) instead of 0 (DMR Standard). A MFID of non-zero indicates proprietary data.

A Hytera T3 system has both DMR Standard and Hytera Proprietary data. A Motorola T3 system has both DMR Standard and Motorola Proprietary data.

Connect Plus systems use a MFID for Trident Microsystems because they developed it.
