What is it?

I have 1 or 2 CONV (P25 w/NAC) frequencies, that when scanned, the display shows a capital 'S' (not Spcl) to the left of the lightning bolt. I know what the bolt is, but cannot find any reference to the 'S' in the manual.

It means the CONV object was programmed in a "search for CTCSS/DCS/NAC" mode, and the displayed value (a NAC, in your case) was found via that search.
