what is policy in Maryland for scanner in the car

I plan on visiting my son, in Pasadena, MD very soon. what about having a scanner in the car? what is Maryland's policy on police scanners?

If you get an FCC radio license, such as the Technician level, you don't have to worry about any scanner laws anywhere in the country.
