Just about any cell phone holder will work. You can find them just about everywhere.

I have found most newer "universal" cell phone holders to be too small. They just aren't wide enough to get the scanner in there and hold them.

What is needed is those holders designed to hang on to the older cell phones.
Remember this one?

If you could find a holder for it, you could hold damn near anything.

Until Verizon pulled the plug on their analog service here, our Yards and Grounds guys wouldn't use anything else. If they dropped them, they were easy to find and didn't break.

And in a pinch, they made handy hammers!

Now they trash one or 2 a month.

Velcro is my friend.

After using the Industrial Strength Velcro to mount a few smaller items, It could hold a handheld easily.

That was my thread until some shmuck hijacked it saying it was his brother and stuff. Looks like I will be trying Velcro for awhile. Its cheap pretty effective and will clean off if it does not work, unlike holes in the dashboard or center console.

I will be adding the Velcro this weekend and will post a picture of it here.

the one I posted on the locked thread uses sticky backing. No Holes. I don't believe in punching holes in my truck either. It has been there about 3 months with absolutely not trouble.

If you think you'll need a lot, you can get the 20ft box of the Industrial Strength Velcro at samsclub for around $13.88. My local hardware store charges $26.97 for the same size.

Who needs cupholders? Just velcro the cup to the dash
