For what frequency ranges? Do you want permanant, lip-mount, or magnetic mounts? Receive or transmit?

Ok, but what ranges do you listen to? Is most of the activity in the 800MHz, 450MHz, or 150MHz bands, or a mixture? We'll be able to steer you in a good direction...

If all your listening to is one band I would get an antenna desgined to operate on that band.
