Again today, I found a combo numbers-data station on 11530 kHz,
The transmission begins around 1700 Zulu, and as I write this (1800 z) it's still on the air.
It has a synth female voice in AM reading a series of numbers in Spanish, then there are data
bursst that lasts between 10 and 30 seconds, then there are more Spanish numbers and
more data bursts. The pattern repeats itself.
I only found this station yesterday, so I don't know how long it has been on the air or whether
it has a schedule or any parallel frequencies.

Any ideas?

This is Cuban numbers station HM01. HM01 stands for Hybrid Mode station 01, the first to be given such a designation. This format has been in use for a bit over 6 months. The data is RDFT and a program such as DIGTRX can be used to demodualte the data.

That is a common frequency and time for this station.

The station starts the transmission with 6 sets of 5 figures repeated many times. After that it says one of the 5 figure groups and sends data, sends the 2nd 5 figure group and sends data, 3rd 5 figure group and send data, etc, repeating this cycle many times.

Thanks for the prompt reply. I wonder if HM01 is on a regular sked with different frequencies?
I will look for the software download to try and decode.

Yes, HM01 has a regular schedule of many different freqs at different times, probably more than 5 time slots on an average day. The latest Enigma 2000 newsletter probably has a current schedule in it.

Token,

I just heard my first numbers station ever using my little handheld Grundig G6 thanks to your post above.

HM01: Sunday 0600z 10345kHz SW Ontario

Found the schedule in the magazine you referenced. Going to try to catch M01 on 6780kHz at 0700z now. Very exciting!
