• To anyone looking to acquire commercial radio programming software:

Please do not make requests for copies of radio programming software which is sold (or was sold) by the manufacturer for any monetary value. All requests will be deleted and a forum infraction issued. Making a request such as this is attempting to engage in software piracy and this forum cannot be involved or associated with this activity. The same goes for any private transaction via Private Message. Even if you attempt to engage in this activity in PM's we will still enforce the forum rules. Your PM's are not private and the administration has the right to read them if there's a hint to criminal activity.

If you are having trouble legally obtaining software please state so. We do not want any hurt feelings when your vague post is mistaken for a free request. It is YOUR responsibility to properly word your request.

To obtain Motorola software see the Sticky in the Motorola forum.

The various other vendors often permit their dealers to sell the software online (i.e., Kenwood). Please use Google or some other search engine to find a dealer that sells the software. Typically each series or individual radio requires its own software package. Often the Kenwood software is less than $100 so don't be a cheapskate; just purchase it.

For M/A Com/Harris/GE, etc: there are two software packages that program all current and past radios. One package is for conventional programming and the other for trunked programming. The trunked package is in upwards of $2,500. The conventional package is more reasonable though is still several hundred dollars. The benefit is you do not need multiple versions for each radio (unlike Motorola).

This is a large and very visible forum. We cannot jeopardize the ability to provide the RadioReference services by allowing this activity to occur. Please respect this.

If someone is gonna make a annoying repetitive loop for agitating other CB'ers on channel 19 at least make it legible. LOL!! This was coming from skipland somewhere in the country. You can hear the fade shifting on the signal. My guesses:

"Where were they when I lost you?"
or
"Where were they when I loved you?"
Almost seems like some disgruntled party of a failed relationship got dragged into CB radio. If that is what is being said.

Your guesses? If the author of the recording reads the forums, what is it saying?

Video: (bad language edited out)

Why do I care some might ask? I am only curious. Some locals are curious as well.

So I am just south of Trenton, New Jersey on the Pennsylvania side of the Delaware River. All of my skip on Channel 19 is coming from Texas, the Panhandle and the Bayou.

I do hear the psychos prattling on but last week I actually heard a loop of music..

I couldn't believe it, it was JVKE singing.. "golden hour" wasn't expecting that LOL.

My agitation to skipland is crank up little Bertha to about 2.5 KW with 60 WPM RTTY wide shift and round robin
printer test. I usually keep that restricted to channel 6 though.
When Cleaveland 6 wipes out local channel 3, it is time to put 6 to bed.

Yeah I only monitor 19 now, Channel 6 doesn't really do it for me now. It's not as if I'm really dx'ing for any useful purpose. Just curious what the cycle is doing.

You know we're just starting right?😁.

I'm old, I've lived through a number of these.

Can be a lot of fun, especially on the ham bands.

The listening can be very interesting and indicative of different areas of the country and keeping track of individuals Etc.

Finally... a fun stage.
