What is your favorite channel

My favitite channel has been the Air to Air Helo's on 123.02500. All the troopers, and medevac talk to each other, and today I heard channel 13
chopper pilot asking the troopers what was going on in some area of baltimore. They really chat it up sometimes about what is going on around the counties.

I usually monitor both city and county fire departments, or the two police precints (northwest and garrison) that are near me. But I think my favorite listening is the RATT channel when they get active. Especially when the activity is near me.

Hmmm...the Sci-Fi channel if your talking TV. For scanning I like the Howard Co Trunk TG47152 Police Southern Dispatch. I have this inane need to know everything thats going on around me. :lol:

I think we all do Bear which is why we spend so many bucks on this little hobby - especially with the new digital capable radios. I have this thing for speakers trying to find something that sounds fantastic and clear and now have a closet full of them. I just got the epitome of speakers - the Sounds Sweet speaker (soundssweet.com) and all I can say is...Wow!

Anyway, I digress. My favorite listening is the D.C. Police and Fire Department nets just because of the level of newsworthy events constantly taking place. However, one radio is always tuned to my local AA County channel though so I always know what that siren is about or why that police car just went down my street.

Favorite for me I guess has to be the local air ambulance frequency. They do everything from dispatch and weather checks (useful if you are driving where they're flying) to patient updates to hospital via phone patch.

Secondary to that is the voice alerts (dispatching) of the city fire department. If they have a significant call it'll become fairly apparent real fast, and you can turn on the trunk radio to hear it.
