What is your favorite scanner for searching CTCSS/DCS?

Ok, there seems to be a rash of "What is your favorite" going around, so I will toss out another. Wondering what people's favorite scanner is for searching out CTCSS/DCS codes? You can list a handheld, base/mobile, or favorite from both categories - your choice. Though this topic kinda limits the field a bit, should be interesting to see who likes what model and why. Thanks for all the responses.

246t, because it is instant! I had a 250D and it took too long to find the correct code.

PRO-96 because it's instant AND you can enter the tone/code into memory just by pressing the ENTER key.

2. Uhh, no. The PRO-96 doesn't have PL/DPL decoding, Signal Staker, LTR trunking, and more probably.

EDIT: Yeah, the PRO-96 does have PL/DPL decoding. I shold have checked.

Pro-96 because it's easy to save. Wish the 246T had that function!

I doubt it. It will likely work the same way as the BC246T. There may be patent issues as to why Uniden can't make it work like that. But, in this case I would be much happier if I were wrong. Reading the manual, I somehow doubt it.

And Joseph, get off the juice. The PRO-96 does in fact have CTCSS/CDCSS decode and CTCSS/CDCSS search with enter button entry to store found codes into the channel.

I will agree that the 97 is more than an analog only 96.

How do you define his post as being in the wrong topic? The topic is which scanner's CTCSS/CDCSS search function you like best.
