What model scanner is it?

I need a bit of help from you guys.. There is a particular model of hand held scanner that is highly regarded as one of the top of all time.. It's an older model in the radio shack "pro" series.. It's sort of the Pro 2006 of the hand held world I guess you could say...

Does anyone know what I'm talking about?

PRO-43 is the first one to come to my mind in handheld from that era.

You would be referring to either the Pro-43 or the earlier Pro-34.... both antiques and obsolete by today's digital standards. Each highly touted in their time for both performance and ability to be modified. Many of those early modifications have now become standard features in today's modern scanners.

The only model that was even close to the 2006, was the Pro-43. It covered everything the 2006 did without the WFM mode. There was a Uniden model, BC3000 that had the WFM mode.

I was always under the impression that the Pro-43 was simply the handheld version of the Pro-2006; just as the PSR-600 and PSR-500 the biasically same units except for the packaging. I wasn't aware that it didn't do WFM.
