Making a request such as this is attempting to engage in software piracy and this forum cannot be involved or associated with this activity. The same goes for any private transaction via Private Message. Even if you attempt to engage in this activity in PM's we will still enforce the forum rules. Your PM's are not private and the administration has the right to read them if there's a hint to criminal activity.

If you are having trouble legally obtaining software please state so. We do not want any hurt feelings when your vague post is mistaken for a free request. It is YOUR responsibility to properly word your request.

To obtain Motorola software see the Sticky in the Motorola forum.

The various other vendors often permit their dealers to sell the software online (i.e., Kenwood). Please use Google or some other search engine to find a dealer that sells the software. Typically each series or individual radio requires its own software package. Often the Kenwood software is less than $100 so don't be a cheapskate; just purchase it.

For M/A Com/Harris/GE, etc: there are two software packages that program all current and past radios. One package is for conventional programming and the other for trunked programming. The trunked package is in upwards of $2,500. The conventional package is more reasonable though is still several hundred dollars. The benefit is you do not need multiple versions for each radio (unlike Motorola).

This is a large and very visible forum. We cannot jeopardize the ability to provide the RadioReference services by allowing this activity to occur. Please respect this.

I own more than I think I can easily list too. What I use often are DTR410 handhelds, XPR4550 mobiles, CDM1550LS+ mobiles, a Maxtrac VHF mobile, GR300 repeater, M1225 repeater, and XPR6550 handhelds.

My most used radio is actually a Harris Unity XG-100P now....so Motorola is more for backup.

Way too many radios:
Systems Saber III UHF 440-470 DES-XL Qty 2
Systems Saber I UHF 440-470 DES-XL Qty 6
Systems Saber III VHF 146-163 MHz
Astro Saber II UHF P25
Astro Saber III UHF P25
Saber III UHF 440-470 Qty 2
Saber 1E UHF 470-512
SPECTRA UHF 450-488 MHz
KVL Keyloader T3011 DES/DES-XL Qty 2
Motorola Razr V3M I still use this by the way. Just fixed the hinge from a NOS donor phone
Parts, lots of Saber radios and parts. Some MX300 remnants.
Looking for NOS Systems Saber housings and control tops. Also short Saber and MX300 batteries for the cases.

Plan for 2017 is to go through all of the Sabers and tune them properly (modulation compensation and deviation) I will probably trade some off toward a good later model Motorola mobile.

Well, I have recently gone from zero Motorola radios to a whole bunch in the past couple years. And, I have more than just radios, the service monitor is an R2410A and it also has an RTX4005B test box to accompany it with most of the cables. Now, if only I could find a cheap RLN4460 test box...

HTs
XTS5000 Model II VHF (the GREATEST)
HT1000 UHF
MTS2000 (no tags basic FLASHcode, got it from another ham who became SK, has a sticker on back Scan Shop, Philip Riley, Rockford IL, maybe someone has more info?.
MT2000 VHF (display has lost almost all pixels :-(
HT220 VHF (actually works but no battery, makes a good decoration)
MT500 Red case VHF (amazing radio)
MTX8250 (useless but they were free)
ASTRO Saber (VSELP but 1mb VOCON, need to upgrade to P25 FW and DSP)
Mobiles:
CDM1550LS+ 220 on the ham band
Maratrac UHF
Gm300, radius M100, Maxtrac
MCS 2000 mid power UHF split
Micor 100w mobile, works but needs some ham band crystals

And of course, the trusty old RLN4008B RIB (it really needs a SmartRIB to keep it company though...)

Do Motorola keys count too? I have some kind of strange obsession with collecting all the cabinet and XTVA keys.

Can't wait to see what will be at Hamvention this year to expand my collection further :)

Mocom 35.

LOL! I have one a friend set up on 29.6 a long time ago. It was in a plastic consolette and had tone burst signaling. I used to have a cut CB antenna and kept it on in the background waiting for band openings. Two moves and 29 years later, I should dig that thing out of the box and set it up again. :)

From an upcoming episode of hoarders...

I used to work for Motorola and, on quite a few occasions, I used to do some dumpster diving, and buy up non-working stuff at hamfests and repair them. Looking at the list, I might want to downsize a bit (just like my wife's been telling me for the last 20 years). Most of these can't be used anymore, thanks to rebanding and narrowbanding, and most of them I'll die before I'd ever get the ambition to dig out again. And, I live in an 800 MHz dominant area, so there's very little interesting to listen to on VHF or UHF except for my ham stuff. Only the rare items (and the stuff I continue to use) will make any future moves if we ever have to move again.

Alert monitor (desktop receiver, like a Plectron, except better) VHF marine Ch. 16
Astro Spectra UHF
Digitac voting comparators (a couple)
Dynatac 8000 "Marty Cooper brick phone" (perfect for when your kids hit you up for a cellphone because all their friends have one... "Here!" Then watch their faces!)
Dynatac black thinner AMPS brick phone
Expo UHF
GM300 VHF
HT-90 UHF
HT-200 (several) low band and VHF
HT-210 VHF
HT-220 (several) VHF and UHF
HT-440 UHF
HT-600 VHF
HT-1000 VHF and UHF
Maratrac with clamshell control heads (two) on 6 meters
MAXAR (several) VHF and UHF
MAXAR 80 (several) low band
Maxtrac VHF and UHF
Maxtracs 800 and 900 (non-rebanded Smartnet)
MEMCOM "Q-mobile" ("MED channel") repeater and PAC-RT auxiliary receiver
MH-10 low band
Micom 3F HF-ALE radio
Micor (base and mobile, several) VHF and UHF
Minitor (the original) VHF and UHF
Minitor II (my favorite version) VHF
Minitor IV VHF
Mitrek (several) low band, VHF, and UHF
Mocom 35 on 29.6 FM
Mocom 70 UHF T-Band
Motrac Compa-Station low band
Motrac mobile on 52.525
MSF5000 repeater on 440
MT-500 (several) VHF and low band
MT-2000 VHF
MTX-900 900 MHz Smartnet
MX-320 UHF
MX-340 UHF
MX-360 VHF
Pulsar UHF IMTS (with control head and cable - completely unusable anymore)
R100 UHF repeater
SABER I and II UHF
Spectra 900 MHz conventional (not on ham)
Syntor X 9000 low band, VHF, UHF, and 800

Notice I don't own any MOSTARs (wheel chocks), MCX100 or MCX1000 (oddball stuff I hated working on), or any of the newer warehouse grade portables or business type mobiles. I more or less stopped mid-90s and can't afford/not really interested in APX gear. My favorites were Syntor X 9000 mobiles and HT220 portables. NOTHING is cooler than an HT220 slimline... okay, maybe a mint condition SABER.

I had a UHF HT220 slimline in my collection, but years ago, gave it way to a friend who really wanted one. They were very cool, ahead of their time. The styling was very cool, the aluminum frame grips have a pattern like rough denim fabric cast into the surface.
