I just ran across this, I was at this concert in 1978 and was leaving to go home as Foreigner started their set. I was about a mile away when these two songs were playing and even at that distance my chest was vibrating from the bass. I probably should have stayed a little longer but we had already seen Santana, Dave Mason, Heart, Ted Nugent, Aerosmith, Bob Welch and some others.

At the time this was the biggest sound system ever assembled for a concert and it was big.

Here are a couple more snapshots of this concert.

Ebony Eyes - Bob Welch Cal Jam II

Aerosmith - Toys In The Attic (Live California Jam II '78) HD

That was a great submission, I enjoyed that and I know that Aaron also known as Poltergeisty who started this thread many many years ago would enjoy that also but he has been banned from the Tavern and hasn't returned to RR. I have encouraged him to negotiate with the management to get back on the newly formed Tavern... Thanks prcguy... Bob.

Been listening to a lot of Tool at high volume lately. I suspect it may have modified some of my chromosomes.

I think Maynard had to pee really bad or something similar in the live shot.

I've always liked 46 & 2. Not sure why but it's always reminded me of something Michael Hedges might have done.

As far as Tool goes, The entire Undertow album gets my vote. Most people skip by the song Flood because it is such a slow starter, but it rocks. I always found it hilarious that radio stations will play Stinkfist. I guess the meaning behind the song is lost on most and they only listen for the music and not the words.

I've been jamming to Khruangbin. Amazing band. They are out of Houston, TX and their name means airplane (literal translation is flying machine) in Thai.

British Invasion stuff - The Swinging Blue Jeans - You're No Good

(Sorry Linda Ronstadt, I like this one better)

I was lucky enough to grow up with '60's music

Good song! I really like the Georgia Satellites version of Hippy-Hippy Shake. I think they redid it for some movie, but I could be wrong.
