Hi,
I have the DTS-96 (pro 96 clone) and a Uniden 93XLT at the moment and I am looking at maybe adding another radio to my collection.
At the moment I use the DTS-96 most of the time but sometimes need another radio to use when it gets busy and it is too hard to follow everything on a single radio. I sometimes use the 93XLT to listen to a few frequencies but keeping that and the DTS-96 both programmed the same is a pain.
I have been thinking about this for a while and I have come up with a few different options:
1) Get another trunk tracker for home (UBCT-9 or 996T) which I can use at home. I don't want to spend a huge amount so I would most likely end up with a UBCT-9.
2) Get a wide band hand held like a Icom RX7, R20 or AOR8200 and use this for all my non trunking stuff. I like the sound of the RX7 but I am waiting for somebody to write a review on it.
3) Get another DTS-96 which means I can clone one to the other (I tried this the other week with somebody else's DTS-96 and this worked well) so I would only have to program 1, it would also be easier as I would only have to remember all the settings of a single model.
Anybody else have any ideas?
Paul
