I am a long time Uniden SDS100 owner and user. I am also a longtime user of RAM Mount products. However, I have never used a RAM mount for my Uniden SDS100. With the belt clip stud on the back on the radio, I am considering a bracket to use with the belt clip stud.

For those that are doing this, how well does this work out? Is the belt clip stud durable enough to use with a mount?

Although I like the design of the one with the MOLLE strap, the SDS100 is 2.5 inches wide and the bracket doesn't look wide enough for the SDS100.

Here are a few that I found online. Would these be compatible with the Uniden SDS100?

I replaced the plastic stock stud with a metal one.
I have no idea if they are still sold and by whom, but the metal one works perfectly with a standard mic clip.
(metal clip designed to hold a 2-way radio microphone on the dash)

I feel that the finger grip mount is much more secure in a moving vehicle than the one using the belt clip stud. I used a finger grip mount in an 18 wheeler for several years before I retired with my SDS100 and never had any problems at all. It was hard mounted to the dashboard of a 2004 Peterbilt. I have also used it in my pickup with the finger mount attached to a cup holder adapter.
Again, never a problem.
