What i have found from research is that DART uses TDMA digital for its OpenSky network. My current scanner, BC355C can not recieve digital so i was thinking of buying a new digital scanner. I would like to know what scanner is needed to recieve DART light rail, DART bus, and DART PD opperations. I am also comfused because i see that DART has two networks Dallas Area Rapid Transit EDACS Narrowband and Dallas Area Rapid Transit OpenSky and i do not know what opperations are on what system.

There is no scanner currently made, or likely to be made, that will scan OpenSky .

DART does not have any EDACS system. Are you, perhaps, looking a line or two down in the trunked listings and seeing this system?
DFW Airport Public Safety (EDACS) Trunking System, DFW Airport, Texas - Scanner Frequencies

That's DFW Airport, not DART, and they also have an OpenSky system, in fact two of them, one for Public Safety (Police & Fire), replacing the older EDACS system. DFW Airport Public Safety (OpenSky) Trunking System, DFW Airport, Texas - Scanner Frequencies

The other, DFW Airport Transportation (OpenSky) Trunking System, DFW Airport, Texas - Scanner Frequencies, is for transportation on the airport- buses and the Skylink trains.

As for DART:
Dallas Area Rapid Transit OpenSky Trunking System, Dallas, Texas - Scanner Frequencies
The transit operations are on this system from what I understand.

DART also has a P25 system. The only talkgroup that has been reported on that system is for DART PD. There could be others.

I suspect that they were looking at an old list that included the old (currently depreciated on RR) 900 MHz system DART had in the past that was EDACS (Dallas Area Rapid Transit (DART) Trunking System, Dallas, Texas - Scanner Frequencies). This system has been shut down and is no longer in use. It was even highlighted in a Harris flyer that was used as marketing information talking about the switch from that system to the new OpenSky system. http://pspc.harris.com/media/ECR-7654A_CHANNELS art_DART_v9i3_web_tcm42-10443.pdf
For more than 18 years, DART (Dallas Area Rapid Transit) has depended on Harris’ EDACS system for its mission-critical communications needs—but the DART of 2009 is not the mass transit system it was in the 1990s.

I monitored the P25 system with the 1 dart PD entry and never heard anything. I ran it in search mode for 2 days straight and not a peep. My guess is maybe its used for patching other systems in.

Same here.

I have it loaded on one of the scanners, but never hear anything on the P25. When they were previously using 800MHz conventional, at least for PD & light rail, there was a fair amount of radio traffic.
