I can't tell where you are located. Have you looked at the RR db for repeaters in your area? The arrl.org web site should be able to list clubs in your area? Why not join one? HTH.

Have you tried taking the practice tests online? If not, you could try that for knowledge. You could also check out the ARRL website for fun and knowledge.

My suggestion on what to do next... Figure out why you can't seem to hear anything, fix it, and listen to stuff.

What type of radio do you have? There has to be somebody here that can help you. This is just for me I found it to be easier to manually program my radio by hand. Heck I even got the offsets right because I can hear and talk. Walk away from it a bit but eventually you will get it trust me. Sorry i saw what you have,I think my friend has that radio?!

Ok I had the guy at radio shack in derby program some repeaters for me. I think i am starting to get a little familiar with that i think.
So i have about 6 repeaters programmed in my unit now.
The repeaters are from where i basically get signal from, is this correct?
so i select the repeater i want to use and then hold down for a moment on the A/B button to change over to where you put in the freqency of the channel i want to listen to on the screen?

I know you all dont have the same radio but maybe similar to what you all have.
