I am thinking about buying some new cable for my scantenna and the radioshack VHF/UHF. I want to inprove my RX. What type of cable should I get? Something that doesn't cost to much. I will only need about 75 feet and I would cut that in half and add my own connectors. What are you thoughts?

Times Microwave LMR-400 or Belden 9913 both are RG-8 types. the LMR is a tad better spec than the 9913 but I have always liked the 9913.. may check with a radio shop and see iof they can give you want you need as connectors may need special tools to install to do it right. probably looking at 125 dollars as copper has gone thru the roof. May check with a cable company as you might get by with RG-6 CATV cable since you are receiving only. It would be alot cheaper if it worked. Just do a search on the net for the above cables and associated connectors.

If you are just receiving, you can't do much better than RG-6 without spending many times the amount of money.
