• To anyone looking to acquire commercial radio programming software:

Please do not make requests for copies of radio programming software which is sold (or was sold) by the manufacturer for any monetary value. All requests will be deleted and a forum infraction issued. Making a request such as this is attempting to engage in software piracy and this forum cannot be involved or associated with this activity. The same goes for any private transaction via Private Message. Even if you attempt to engage in this activity in PM's we will still enforce the forum rules. Your PM's are not private and the administration has the right to read them if there's a hint to criminal activity.

If you are having trouble legally obtaining software please state so. We do not want any hurt feelings when your vague post is mistaken for a free request. It is YOUR responsibility to properly word your request.

To obtain Motorola software see the Sticky in the Motorola forum.

The various other vendors often permit their dealers to sell the software online (i.e., Kenwood). Please use Google or some other search engine to find a dealer that sells the software. Typically each series or individual radio requires its own software package. Often the Kenwood software is less than $100 so don't be a cheapskate; just purchase it.

For M/A Com/Harris/GE, etc: there are two software packages that program all current and past radios. One package is for conventional programming and the other for trunked programming. The trunked package is in upwards of $2,500. The conventional package is more reasonable though is still several hundred dollars. The benefit is you do not need multiple versions for each radio (unlike Motorola).

This is a large and very visible forum. We cannot jeopardize the ability to provide the RadioReference services by allowing this activity to occur. Please respect this.

What type of trunking is this?

Can anyone tell me what type of trunking system this is? Or at least point me in the right direction.

I hear talk on a few of the frequencies, but I don't hear any kind of control channel. On 853.0375, there is a constant hiss noise. Is this the control channel? It is not a loud grinding noise like I hear on the Motorola II system that I monitor. I entered all the frequencies in as a Mot Type II, and set the scanner in search mode, but it never stops on anything. If I set the scanner to manual, I can hear people on some of the frequencies.

Do you hear any key up sounds with no voice on repeaters.. As in a regular pattern? Like every ten or so seconds? Or every 2 or so seconds?

I don't hear anything unless someone is talking, and the hiss on the one frequency.

Just a wild guess... But could be LTR Multinet???? Or MPT trunking??? This is an SMR so its not likely OpenSky, or TETRA, since thats not used in the USA much at all.. And youd know if it was any of the usual M/A-Com or Motorola types already.

If you have a scanner that is run to a data slicer with LTRDump/LTRTrunk on a PC you would be able to tell if its LTR Multinet simply eneough. As to MPT.. I am not sure how to determine that. I do know that no scanner made currently will trunk track iether of those formats.

Since you are confirming its active, submit it for the county and the admins can add it.

I don't think it would be MPT-1327. Its control channel is a continuous data stream, sort of soft jangling sound.

How strong is the carrier i.e. it is hissy because of low signal strength at your end? If it's a solid carrier, most likely LTR Multi-Net the Milf suggested...

Yeah, the signal is crytal clear. The hiss on the one frequency is very soft, not loud at all.

Then you have to monitor it conventionally unless you have the aforementioned data sliced system running LTRDump/LTRTrunk on a PC.

Submit the data for it to the admins and they can add it as an LTR Multinet TRS.
