Whats a good digital trunking scanner?

I am looking to buy a digital trunking scanner due to the fact that the police & fire communications in my county has switched to a Harris P25 trunked system. What is the best scanner to buy at the cheapest price that will pick up these communications?

Unfortunately none are really cheap. You might find a used 396T or 996T out there, or perhaps a Pro-96 or Pro-2096, but they're still going to be USD300-400 or so.

The Pro-106 does an amazing job for what I need. I monitor the Ohio State Patrol and Meigs County Sheriff Office.

Those are contradictory terms. The best scanner, IMO, currently is the PSR-500. It is the same radio as the PRO-106, but I'd get the GRE model.
