i have a uniden 350 c a great radio for skips and low band but i pick up freqs in the 500 range sounds like a trs sys what is in this range could it be trs sys and is there 2 way comms in that range
Most larger metropolitan areas can utilize the UHF "T" band 470-512 MHz for land mobile communications including trunked systems; this band is part of the UHF TV allocations in smaller markets.
I've seen some databases with public safety in the low 500 MHz range
LAPD is an example
Also, some other agencies might use a few of the frequenices in that range, traffic and parking sometimes
