whats some good frequencies to start on NE North Carolina

You're in Washington Center's airspace there (ZDC), check out the wiki here for the frequencies in your area.

Of course you can also check skyvector as suggested and see what airports are in your area if you're just interested in listening to aircraft fly around the pattern.

Check in the NC Forum. The admins have updated all the information I gave them for the Military Bases in Eastern NC. Pope, Cherry Point and Seymour Johnson. Also check the MilAir Sticky Thread, I have posted most of my logs and some other information that is useful in monitoring MilAir and Civilian Aircraft.
