I've owned the 2055 but the 163 seems to be identical; are they? :confused:

No, it doesn't, but it is CAPABLE of doing rebanded systems if you put in custom band plans via software. That's why some (many) people are frustrated with their PRO-163 and 164 scanners. They think they can just plug it in and they are home free.
