Sikeston tower is online with a control freq of 155.7150. The alt control channel is 159.2100.

Is this network the same as the Federal interoperable network, Emergency Response Interoperability Center (ERIC)
"The network will be complete, 114 counties and the City of St. Louis, by December 31, 2012," said Steve Devine, SEMA's interoperability program manager. "And at that point, you'll be able to be anywhere in the state talking to anyone else who's on your talk group no matter where they are in the state."
I picked this tidbit out of the linked article in the Community News forum about Joplin's comms after the tornado.
This is the first hint of a completion date I've seen on this project.
Is Sikeston PD using this system very much yet? There was a murder there this afternoon and I didn't hear them at all. As a matter of fact; I haven't heard anything on it since they blew the Birds Point levee.
I thought it was it supposed to be a full VHF-HI system from the beginning.
