Hello all, whats the word with NHP are they going to use the VHF or go back to the 800 N-DOT system

NHP is on the NDOT 800 system for good.
The VHF is not in operation except for some simulcast activity.
The FCC ordered Nevada to cease using the VHF system since they failed to obtain proper license authority for the frequencies they were using.
I have been trying to update the 800 system as best as I can when time permits.
It's a large system with many sites so it will take a while for me to varify the site information.

There is something strange about the database for this system. Sites 1 & 2 which are in Reno are the same frequencies as sites 24 & 25 in Reno. ?????

Ok, thanks guess i can unlock some CDF freqs i have in my 780.

It still does not make sense. Site 26 has several frequencies common to site 2, both in Reno. Also, site 26 has a frequency common to site 24, both Reno??????
NHP VHF ASTRO
Anyone know what has or will happen to the VHF ASTRO radios that they bought? Hmmm. Digital conventional systems are rapidly emerging on the hambands.

Sites 24 and 26 have nothing in common and even if they did site 024, Golconda, is 159 miles N/E of Reno. If all the frequencies were the same, it would not matter due to distance.
Slide Mtn, site 002, favors east and south and does not interfere with site 026 Red Peak. since the control channels are different and since the control datas do not interfere this too works quite well. This is common in a system which simlcasts an area as does Reno and the other 2 areas of Nevada,Las Vegas and Elko.
