All day Saturday the County Fire Dispatch was advising the various VFD's to not to forget to turn in their 800 Mhz Radio's and Accessories. Now today, Sunday, there is a Fail Soft or Test double beep on one of the Trunk Repeaters, and the 867.3000 Mhz Repeater has a continous carrier.

Later Sunday night (9:00 PM or so) they had a complete failure.
Must have been all that extra activity over on the campus. :D
It didn't last long back up and running by 9:20 PM or so.
This morning everything seems ok. Co Fire was dispatching as usual.

They are having troubles again ... 4:10 PM - most departments are using State backup. Heard several LPD officers stating they are having troubles with "new" portable radios.

edit - 4:44 Just heard TEMA make an announcement about drop off of all 800Mhz radios - they stated it was part of the "rebanding process" ...

Throughout the day, heard two beeps at the end of some transmissions. Various talkgroups. I didn't have time to determine if it was consistent with any specific frequencies.

Is system #2 in use for any new talkgroup activity? It would not need rebanded (well, except "maybe" the RDLAP on frequency 868.1500 MHz).
