I have literally driven from Key West to NYC in the last week.
I've had my 396 (with a new Spectra antenna) on for 75% of the ride.

I've monitored many trunks in FL, VHF in GA, trunked 800 in NC and SC.
VHF trunked in VA. 800 in DE.

I get on the NJ Turnpike and have 1 or 2 bars. Static, CC popping in and out, 1980's noise and so on.

What is wrong with the NJSP system?
I KNOW it can't be me or my setup.

Thank you

It's you or your set up. I was there for the past five days and the system sounded fine. I was hearing both the North and Central sites with no problems. Same as on my past several trips down there. It sounds as good as the MSP or CTSP trunk systems.

Of course, I was referring to the South site.
I just shut it off after that and haven't turned it back on.
I will now in my hotel room and see how the North sounds.
