Wheeling / Ohio County Airport

I was asked this morning if I knew anything about this airport since I use to live in the area. I didn't have a clue but I did come up with this info.There is also some Military Aircraft housed on this location but I couldn't find any info. Maybe someone else can. I didn't submit this info into the database Admin since I don't know how accurate it is. Someone living in West Liberty, Table Rock Lane, Clearview or Cherry Hill should have almost direct site to the airport and can listen in and then submit if you would like.

i worked at the airport for two months a few years back... i actually spent some time BS'n in the control tower since part of my job was on the roof and to get to the roof you have to go through there, you can guess how interesting this would be... so i can say with certainty that as of summer 2008 your info is correct.

what is crazy is that the contol tower's radios are so low powered that you almost have to be on the airport grounds to hear them but yet the FAA controller told me that in the air it can be heard clearly for fifty miles (which explains why for years i was always hearing the planes calling in but never heard any response until i was actually there)
