Some must have not been too impressed if you brought up the subject. As far as the updates they don't do much of anything for the 436/536. As far as the SD card read error, that was brought up by tigermoth on 26 July. The other fixes " Activated replay duration on menu navigation and Added menu navigation support to serial protocol" took almost 5 months. Apparently nothing was done to bring Analyzer up to speed.

since there is no way to ask this question on the page displaying instructions on the update page dose the update for the 536HP just effect the Wi FI or dose it also change the simulcast reception?
If you already have the latest updates to the 536, then the latest firmware doesn't touch the items you mentioned. It only adds the following.
-Fixed "SD Card Read Error" during discover review (thanks to TigerMoth for finding)
-Added menu navigation for Siren protocol
The page is confusing with all the older information listed at the top. You have to read down some to actually see what this Mass Update added.

Downloaded firmware update.. Getting a whole lot more activity monitoring.. Dont know if this update addressed some of the LSM issues

I'm trying to look at this update with a positive spin... Maybe this is a sign that they'll release smaller updates on a more frequent basis to address bugs as they've got them figured out rather than waiting for big updates.
At the same time, I'm pretty disappointed in what we've still got for an "Analyze" feature on this flagship scanner...

I have to echo your sentiments--- perhaps we will get more frequent but smaller updates; I'm just somewhat disappointed (as I am sure many are), that this is all they were able to work on up to this point.
Time to download and update, I like the radio as is already, so I don't plan to whine. Thanks UPman for new firmware (whatever it does or doesn't include.)

The fact that the firmware version number has jumped from 1.06.10 to 1.08.07 without much evidence of the potential 197 intervening steps, shows that Uniden have a very poor understanding of the concept of "Managing customer expectations."
