Where I am in Australia, all of our EMS are encrypted. I find bus companies and tow trucks an adequate replacement for traffic information and what not. Local security companies always make fun listening too as well. Always something to listen to

Walmart on MURS. "Cleanup on isle five!"

Scintillating.

Not likely at any Walmart I ever worked at.

The people most likely to run across a spill were the ones most likely without a radio. Don’t even get me started on the maintenance people who didn’t like having a “leash”.

Former member of management in Sam’s Demented Army. The best and worst job I’ve ever had. 12-16 hours of punishment mixed with pure comedy gold, sketchy customers and employees, and the best weight loss plan in the world.

You can listen to the CHP in your area ( 39.26) can also hear Riverside CHP ( 39.68 ) and Rancho ( 39.88 ). They're pretty busy.
There's a HAM repeater that you can hear, and there are some interesting conversations. It's a "free speech" repeater so if 4 letter words offend you then perhaps not. (446.6400) Some of the talk is actually informative and technical, other times not so much lol.
