First of all, I've checked with 5 RS stores and no cases for the Pro-96. It's hard to believe that RS is selling $500.00 scanners with no cases. Totally insane, IMO. Anyway, any ideas on where I can purchase a case for my Pro-96? Thanks.

None of the above cases seem to protect the Pro-96 display. Protecting the display is my main concern. I hate a scratched display. Am I wrong on the noted cases not protecting the display? If not, anyone know where I can get such a case? Thanks.

The one that I posted will protect the display. It seems that the one that Dubbin posted is the same case.

ScanManQSL, do they have a case like that for the pro96. It looks sweet.

I just bought the one from the "geocities" link, it arrived in two days from Mexico and works great. It was 30 bucks

The one at Scanner Unlimited does look like the ones sold by Eduardo Cruz for $22 + $8 shipping. Just so you know, Eduardo is on vacation until 31 July, per his response to my query. I asked about shipping for two cases, and he quoted me $56 total (knocked $4 off shipping of 2nd case). If someone doesn't wanna fork over that much for a case, and is still concerned about the display, then go to Best Buy (et al), and pick up a pack of those clear protective film pieces for PDAs and such. You can cut them to size and they adhere nicely to the display, and can be removed at any time.

I do that with all my radios, case or not.
