Hello,

Running W 10.

Would like to make a backup to a USB stick of the Sentinel Profile I created (for my SDS 200), but just can't
seem to find where they are located in W 10.

Where does Sentinel place these Profiles ? What are they called ?

Doesn't seem to be in the (only) Sentinel Folder i have.

Thanks,
B.

Go to your directories, click on program files (x86) directory, go to the uniden directory and you will find your favorites

He's looking for his profiles, not favorites.

The profiles are not kept in the Sentinel program files folder.

Form the top Sentinel tool bar, click "Tools" then "Options".

That will show you where the profiles are kept on your hard drive on your computer. Locate that folder with Windows file explorer and you will see the "Profiles" folder.

And yes..... it's in Mark's Easier to Read manual:

http://new.marksscanners.com/SDS/SDS%20Sentinel.shtml#toolbar

Scroll down to "Tools Menu" at that link.

Alternatively, you can use Windows Explorer to search for "BCDx36HP". Once you find this folder, you can copy the four subfolders (ActivityLog, DiscoveryLog, FavoriteLists and Profile) to whatever storage device you choose.

That will work, assuming that the user hasn't changed the default location of where those files are written by Sentinel using the "Options" menu. If that location was changed, looking at the "Options" menu will point exactly to where they are.

Searching for "BCDx36HP" will also bring up the Sentinel program folder and files, which may cause confusion when looking for the "Profiles"
folder because they won't be found there.

For WIn 7 my fafiles are here C:\Users\yourusername\Documents\Uniden\BCDx36HP and this might give you a starting point to search on your Win 10 machine...
Inside that location you should find 4 subfolders called ActivityLog, DiscoveryLog, FavoriteLists and Profile.
Hope this helps.
