I have been around on here for a while, and I am curious to see where all of our jersey scanner buffs are from.


I am currently in Asbury Park, Monmouth County.

I listen to all services in my area. I tend to hone in on the town I live in.

I am from North Cape May, Cape May county. I listen to De.State Trunked system, Cape May County FD/PD/EMS , Milair off the coast, marine and NJSP.

I was born and raised in Neptune and now live in the extreme northeast section of Brick Twp., near the Brielle/Point Pleasant borders. I monitor Monmouth and Ocean County law enforcement agencies FD, & EMS, the State Police Troop C System, and the marine frequencies. I've been involved in scanning for close to 30 years.

i live in central/eastern monmouth county,nj.i've been monitoring for about 30+ year's.
i especially have a keen interest in fire minitoring.the only pd i listen to is my hometown pd.the listening from them can be extremely exciting.i also like to listen to some ems,uscg,all type's of helicopter's,med-evac's.i especially like severe weather monitoring,and have an interest in weather.i am also a die-hard fire apparatus/fire buff with an interest in all scale's off model's.i like ho scale the most.and also kitbash some of my stuff.between the 2 hobby's,i could never be bored !.

Monitoring from Fair Haven (Mon. Co.) nights/weekends and Jersey City during work hours. Listen mainly to Mon Co. FD/EMS agencies, U.S.C.G., various NJ State agencies, various other county fire/EMS stations, sometimes railroad and NOAA WX during severe storms. Got my first scanner about 30 years ago.

Expatriate New Jerseyan currently residing in Elvis Country eating egg noodles and ketchup with Ray Liotta.

Born and raised in Bergen County, formerly of Cliffside Park and frequent traveller between North Jersey and South Jersey when I'm back home. I tend to spend a lot of time "down the shore" in and around Ocean County during my vacations and enjoy taking the kids to various haunts of my youth in NJ, eastern PA and NYC.

I still listen remotely through various streaming sites on the Internet.

Currently living in Voorhees, Camden County. Previously lived in Cherry Hill (less than 5 miles as the crow flies) where I enjoyed superb reception on an old (PRO-46) scanner. Easily picked up Philly tower on 118.500 and Philly Police UHF & VHF, all with original duckie.

Now, trying to pick up Cherry Hill TRS clearly is a challenge. Playing around with building/buying a base antenna.

Got my first CB & scanner when I was a kid about 30 years ago. The Bearcat IV crystal job. They had just come out. I think before that, I had one of those Realistic Patrolman tunable receivers. Reside in Middletown Twp, (across the river from Red Bank/Fair Haven).
Mainly monitor central NJ fire & milair. Been involved in the local emergency services since I was 18.

I live Harrison - Hudson County, I am the chief of EMS for the North Arlington Police Department, I am also a Cooperative Weather Observer for the National Weather Service and own a weather consulting service for 25 years, The Harrison Weather Center. Main Radio interest are Fire & EMS along with Medevac programs. I also have a Ham license my call is KC2NYJ and I vow never to introduce myself with my call sign.

Born and raised in Orange, NJ. Got my first "police radio" in 1971 when I was 16. It was a Lafayette tuneable low band VHF receiver with no squelch. Next radio was a Lafayette base radio with low and high band. Radio was tunable and had 2 crystals for each band. Use to listen to Orange PD by tuning to 39.64 and Orange FD on 46.12.
Currently live in Brick for the last 3 years. Spent about 20 years in Lacey. Enjoy local airwaves with military being my primary likeness.

1st Responderwiress as NJ347. Im a 911 dispatcher Op #20 at Andover Township (Sussex) Police. Also a ham N2KOJ. Im a big Motorola Fan lol. I listen to alot of stuff. NJSP PD/Fire/EMS from all over the state and some of PA. Member of Andover Boro (Sussex) FD. And a nice guy. lol.

I'm from Franklin Twp. in Warren County. I've been scanning since the summer of 1988, and have been a member of several different Vol. Fire Depts & Squads over the years, and a Paid squad as well. I got my Ham License in 2003, and I am currently a member of Warren County RACES, and I'm the Warren County Skywarn Coordinator as well.

I generally listen to Warren & Hunterdon County Fire & EMS, WC PD Central & the NJSP System. I live in an area which is not very scanning friendly. With Montana Mountain to my North, Pohat Mtn. to my south and Schoolies Mtn to my east, I miss out on a lot of action.

HA! Here it comes, a BOLO about a home invasion in which was stolen a pit bull and a cell phone, nothing else mentioned. A PIT BULL? Only in Asbury Park I suppose, there Bangs Avenue is appropriately named. Well THAT takes bolas! (;->)

Yeah it actually happened in Neptune, but 4 b/m held a subject at gunpoint in the residensce and took a pittbull puppy and cell phone
