I'm putting together a rack system with a rear mounted bnc patch panel. I'm looking for some pre made cables to jumper between the scanners and the rear panel. All I can find are 3-6 footers at the minimum. They would need bnc females on each end.

Ok, well here is another question. What kind of coax is it? Are we talking like cable tv coaxial cable?

Thanks for finding those!!!! I'm a super noob with this and just getting into it. Basically I guess I just need a jumper cable to go between the scanner and mounting my antennas at the rear of the rack with a bulkhead distribution. I appreciate your help with this. I found the 19" rackmount panel @cablesandkits.com...

Are you sure that you don't need BNC males rather than females? Would seem a bit unwieldy connecting females to a patch panel. Most patch panels that I've seen have BNC females and would therefore need male jumpers.

I believe you are right. I guess I get a big "DUHH" !!!!I've got the panel ordered and putting together about 4 scanners for the rack. Looks like its gonna be 2-Pro-2096's and 2-Pro160's, Furman rack mount power conditioner and an aspire3680 laptop

Another good source of patch cables and a whole lot more `goodies' that I've used for going on 30 years now is:

www.mcmelectronics.com

We started using them as a source back in the begining of the '80s at our stereo repair shop, when one had to use a catalog to find what one was looking for and then called in one's order, and haven't been disappointed since. My stack of approximately 12 - 14, it tends to vary depending on what new `toy' I'm currently `playing with', radios and assorted multi-couplers and switches are all `patched together' with both `house brand' and Pomona brand cables I've gotten from them. Nary a problem one all the years I've been using their cables. {GRIN!}
