Zip Scanners did that to me a few years ago. I ordered a scanner and it seemed to be taking longer than normal to arrive. So this was about a week and a half after I ordered. I called them and inquired. The guy said they were out of stock when I ordered it. But still took payment the same day I ordered it! I was slightly aggravated cause I could have bought from someone else. Their website said NOTHING about any radios being out of stock. So I posted a NASTY review and I kept getting emails to remove the post. I told them they would be better off selling radar detectors not scanners. Never did business with them again. Scanner was a POS anyway.

Bearcat Warehouse is the best and free shipping and no sales tax on all digital scanners. They are in Maryland and can be reached at 877-568-7226 and ask for Paul. Paul even made YouTube video's too explaining each product and how it functions.

I knew that it wouldn't ship until the week of June 22nd I have my order confirmation and I know people have stated that they were very pleased with Bearcat Warehouse. Its not a fly by night operation they have been around awhile .If it was a rip-off you would have seen people state that in the forums.

It was just one of those simple analog models, a whistler. I think it was the 1025. I got it as a spare for family room in basement. But it had really horrible tinny audio. The whole thing felt cheap and flimsy. I shoulda known better that Whistler probably made better radar detectors.

To make it worse the guy I talked to on phone was a blubbering idiot who kept passing blame on another employee!!!! Seemed like some backyard outfit.

I bought and paid for mine on 06/13/2020 and it was supposed to ship on the week of the 22nd but was delayed by Uniden till the 1st and 2nd week of July, so I am hopeful that I will get it within the coming week since they are in stock,

PS: I just checked the website and checked my order status and it says Payment accepted same thing its been saying the last 2 weeks.

Placed order on Sunday...ETA Thursday.

Spent 6 hours on Sunday trying to find a way to get one before the end of July.

If BCW listed them back in stock then why is shipping delayed until the 3rd week of July?

There are likely a number of reasons Bearcat Warehouse might do that to unsuspecting customers.

If they claim it's in stock, they don't lose the order and stop you from going elsewhere where a competitor might have them in stock.
If they claim it's in stock they can build up a larger order to meet Uniden's quantity requirements of being a dealer and to obtain better pricing.
If they charge you when you place the order, rather than waiting to actually ship the item, they are using your money to invest in inventory rather than tying up their own money for a month or so, leaving their money in the back to earn interest.

That's all good for them but it's not good policy to mislead customers and make them wait longer than anticipated. I'd go elsewhere like Scanner Master next time, which is what I've been doing for years, no problems!

I placed an order with HRO, they called to say the item was backordered and offered a refund. I also went to several web sites and put my name on their lists to notify me when the SDS is available. Scanner Master sent me an email and I placed the order. Before I could cancel my order with HRO, they notified me the item had been shipped.

I have purchased other radios from each ScannerMaster and HRO and have NO issues doing business with either company!

Its a shame Amazon Warehouse doesn't have them - they have a no questions asked return policy, and usually are way cheaper (got my BCD436HP for $370 new). If you already have an SDS, I would try out the WHistler TRX-2. Im thinking about getting a Whistler next instead, so I dont have to pay $150 just to hear whats in my area. Supposedly, the DMR sensitivity is better too, and I have definitely had (minor) issues with that

I have 1 on order from BCW, I just Had a chat session with them, They r starting 2 ship them 2day based on when u ordered them

I'm having my 200 programmed, will take a day or 2 longer

I've bought from them several times, no issues @ all, But I agree that they shouldn't charge ur card b4 it ships

I have sum stuff on wait list with amazon, Its reserved, not charged until shipped
