Which Of The Following Can Be Monitored On A Uniden SDS100?

I am located on the other side of the country. A friend of mine would like to monitor the following on his Uniden SDS100. While I certainly can check the database here, I also know that there is nothing quite like recent information, when it comes to monitoring.

He would like to monitor:

--Florida State Highway Patrol,

--Pinellas County Sheriff FL,

--Hillsborough County Sheriff FL,

--Manatee County Sheriff FL

--Sunstar Ambulance Pinellas County,

--Treasure Island Police FL,

--Largo Police FL,

--Clearwater Police FL,

--St Petersburg Police & Fire FL,

--Lealman Fire Dept FL.


Who is encrypted and who isn't? Also, I suspect that his SDS100 might be due for updates. I don't know if he is updating, but I sort of doubt it.

FHP is encrypted and cannot be monitored with any scanner.

All of the Pinellas agencies can be monitored and are mostly in the clear.

Hillsborough SO can be monitored and is mostly in the clear. You might need to get the ProVoice upgrade if you want to monitor their sensitive channels. Eventually they will be moving over to the P25 system, who knows if you will be able to monitor them then.

Manatee SO can be monitored and are mostly in the clear.
