Sorry I can't be of more help, but Uniden has a long line of fantastic trunking scanners on the market. I have a BCT15X, and it is a good radio, be it confusing to set up at first (for me, anyway.) I would check out the Uniden section on Scanner Master - Police Scanners by Uniden Bearcat, AOR and Radio Shack. and see which radio looks good for you, along with advice from others. Definitely go Uniden, though.

Since you have a handheld, I presume that you are looking for the same type of scanner. For most all of OH, you'll need a digital scanner that handles P-25 and 700MHz for the new towers on the Ohio MARCS system. I suggest either the RS Pro-106, GRE PSR-500, or the GRE-PSR-800. The first two can be programmed via Win500 software that can be downloaded at www.starrsoft.com . It has a free thirty day trial. The PSR-800 comes with its own software, and has the entire Radio Reference database on a micro SD card. All have the capability to be programmed by a PC. I'm going to suggest that you go to the Ohio state forum to get more informed answers:)
HTH,
Larry
