Which scanner for ORION

hello all. its been a while since ive owned a digital scanner. the last one i owned was the psr 500 and that was close to 2 years ago. i remember when inside of omaha, it wasnt perfect, but pretty close, and anything west of 192nd and dodge, (i live in fremont) was not so good. ill be buying a digital scanner within the next couple weeks and am torn between the psr 500, and the bcd396xt. i just wanted to know, from people with experince, which scanner sounds better on the ORION?

I use a PSR 500 and it works to get the Douglas county system when I am by fremont and hooper.
