• To anyone looking to acquire commercial radio programming software:

Please do not make requests for copies of radio programming software which is sold (or was sold) by the manufacturer for any monetary value. All requests will be deleted and a forum infraction issued. Making a request such as this is attempting to engage in software piracy and this forum cannot be involved or associated with this activity. The same goes for any private transaction via Private Message. Even if you attempt to engage in this activity in PM's we will still enforce the forum rules. Your PM's are not private and the administration has the right to read them if there's a hint to criminal activity.

If you are having trouble legally obtaining software please state so. We do not want any hurt feelings when your vague post is mistaken for a free request. It is YOUR responsibility to properly word your request.

To obtain Motorola software see the Sticky in the Motorola forum.

The various other vendors often permit their dealers to sell the software online (i.e., Kenwood). Please use Google or some other search engine to find a dealer that sells the software. Typically each series or individual radio requires its own software package. Often the Kenwood software is less than $100 so don't be a cheapskate; just purchase it.

For M/A Com/Harris/GE, etc: there are two software packages that program all current and past radios. One package is for conventional programming and the other for trunked programming. The trunked package is in upwards of $2,500. The conventional package is more reasonable though is still several hundred dollars. The benefit is you do not need multiple versions for each radio (unlike Motorola).

I recently purchase both and want to order software, which seems hard to find. I found both CS-5021 and also found version CS-F3021/F5011/F5021. One website says the CS-5021 is discontinued so now I'm confused.

Let him know the information of each radio and he will get you set up. The lastest version I have is CS-f3020_f5020 v3.2
I think you should be alright with one version of the software for both radios.

I love mine.

I contacted GMRS outlet. A friend gave me a copy of version 2.30 of cs-f3020. It is older from what you are saying and it also says clone. Says nothing about programming.

Yeah, Icom calls their programming software "cloning software." You use the cloning software to program the radio.

..........................

RE-

Maybe im the one confused!
I tried finding a free download on Russia site and came across Icom 3020 5020.

I found a website that says Icom 3020 5020 is for the Icom F6020 Radio not the F6021.

The Icom F6020 doesnt have a display head and the Icom 6021 does.

I cannot read my radio, Cable is correct... I used this same cable before, I lost the software when
my last pc crashed.

I ordered a Icom F6021/ 3021 5021 and they gave me Icom F6020/ 3020 5020 Download......

Im so confused! I called and asked and even the owner of the website didnt even know.

Please tell me what the latest version of Software is.

Also, I heard that the new Software is Narrow only!
